What is the difference between an active and a passive participating Institute (PI)?
Active PI will agree to jointly award the degree/diploma/certificate under FAP2021, whereas, the passive PI will only allow its faculty to offer courses to students registered under FAP2021.Initially all PIs will be registered as Passive PI, however after getting consent from the consortium a PI may move ahead towards becoming an active PI.
For becoming a passive PI just administrative decision of the Director is needed, but for becoming active PI, it need to approach its Senate or equivalent bodies.
- How additional students may be accommodated at any institute?
Depending upon the available resources at their end each participating institute will offer number of seats in Depending upon the available resources at their end each participating institute will offer number of seats in Campus mode as well as in ONLINE mode along with each course at least 1 year in advance of beginning the respective semester (except the starting 2 semesters of the FAP).
- What will the PIs and registered faculty members will get for this additional load?
For each student enrolled in these courses, some percentage will go to faculty as honorarium, its parent institute, towards operation. Obviously, the active PIs will get larger share as compared to passive PI.
- Is same course be offered by many faculty members with different fee?
Yes, it is allowed. The syllabus will be same though as defined by the consortium.
- How the implementation complexity will be handled?
The Industry Partner will do the needful under the control of the consortium
